Agnieszka Polkowska is a designer, design curator, and educator with a Ph.D in design. Her work explores dynamics observed in nature, with a focus on a bioregional approach and the "One Health" perspective. In site-specific projects, she investigates how plants' internal processes and environments shape their growth, and how this knowledge can guide sustainable practices and the development of materials that foster interspecies coexistence. She is the Dean of the Faculty of Design at the Academy of Art in Szczecin, where she runs a speculative design studio blending research with experimental practice across natural and cultural systems. Polkowska cooperates with such institutions and initiatives as the Sustainability by Design at Folkwang University of the Arts, Technical University of Munich, Institute of Industrial Design, Pomeranian Science and Technology Park Gdynia, Łódź Design Festival, and Total Design Management studies at Warsaw University of Technology. She had the pleasure of working on R&D projects for such clients as Samsung, Ceramika Paradyż, Desa Unicum, Biżuteria YES, as well as many others. A member of Programme Boards of Gdynia Design Days and Design 32 competition.
